1) Have you registered?

You must register to add messages in the Message Board.
It is fully free and you need to do it once.
Just Click on the "Register" link at the top of the page.
Then you can choose your nickname, your password... that you can update in the "Profile" link.
Take care that your nickname does not contain these characters ', \, ", $, ^, %, ¤, £, µ, §, |, #, &. It is forbidden.
If you have lost your password, you can retrieve it with this page: http://97132.aceboard.net/getmdp.php.

We recommend you to log in. If you access from a shared computer, take care to click in the "Please logout when I quit the message board" box.

2) Posts

To send a post, it is very easy :
If you want to create a new topic, just click on the button in the topic list.
If you want to reply a post, you can click on the button in the post page.
When you create a new topic, you can choose to receive an email when someone add a reply in your topic.

If you want to link a post and not the whole topic, you can find the link by cliking on the post icon.

Moreover you can use options in your message
The icon: you can share your general mood about the topic.
BBCode is a special implementation of HTML:

You can also use lots of smileys, just click on what you want and then the code will be replaced by the smiley.

* Aceboard does the best to protect your email adress from spam. If you put email adress with [email] tag, the adress will be safe because only registred users will be able to see it.

3) Administrators and Moderators

Administrators are at the Head of the Message board, they can add moderators, have all rights to edit, modify posts and take care that users respect rules.

Administrators and Moderators are able to :
- Ban a member, then he cannot access anymore.
- Make him as the weakest link (+ What is it?)
- Remove posts and topics
- Close or move topics
- Edit posts
- Remove all posts from a user
- Remove avatars and quotes.
- Forbid a member to post pictures.

If anything is done, you will receive a mail..

If you feel that there is an abuse in a topic, you can contact moderators via the "Warn moderators" link at the top of the page.

Please don't overuse this option because moderators receive the name of the person who warned them

4) Private Messages

Private Messages can be read only by the person who send and the person who receive.
We can see a popup when you have a new one.

If you have something to say to a person, please use your Private Messages and don't use the public message board.

You can send a private message cliking on this picture or by writing his username.

5) Search

The search engine is very useful to find old topics.
It can avoid users to create a topic that is already available on the message board.

6) Poll

You can create a poll with a topic. Just check the poll box near the subject input, then choose your question and yours answers.

Only registred users can vote and see the results.

7) Posts Option

Here pictures you see near a message:

8) Topic 'Announcement'

Announcement topics can be only posted by administrators or moderators

An Announcement topic is always at the top of the page to be seen by everyone.
Moderators and Administrators can also make a topic become a topic without any announcement.

If you want to create an announcement topic which is not closed, just click on the "Open the topic" link at the bottom of the page.

9) Stars

A column with this star : is available in each forum.
A topic with a star means that you added a post in this topic.

If you click on the star then you will be redirected to the last post you added.

10) Private Message Boards

Administrators can choose to make Private Forums: unregistered users cannot access and registered users will have to ask to be allowed to access.

Two privates forums can be set:

• By selection: Administrator give himself rights to each user.
• To registered users only: Registered users can access to the private forum.

11) Smileys / Emoticons

Every registered users can add a smiley in our servers. They will be able to use it as an usual smiley with this syntax: :
[:username:]

13) Quick Post

Quick Posts are little mesasge that you can send and which will appear immediatly in the recipient computer.
You can send a quick post to anyone who is logged in the message board cliking on his nickname from the online list.

You can also choose to do not receive any quick post by choosing it in your profile page.

14) BookMark

When you are a registered user, you can add topics in your bookmarks.
Then you can access quickly from the index page and you do not need to find them anymore.

To add a topic in your bookmarks, just click "Add into my bookmarks" at the bottom of the page.
